Material juxtaposition at work. Playing with cont Material juxtaposition at work.

Playing with contrast allows each material to do what it does best. Warm wood softens harder elements, while stone and metal bring structure, weight, and clarity. When opposites are placed side by side, textures become more tactile and surfaces feel more intentional. The architecture gains depth through restraint and balance, creating a layered composition where each material strengthens the presence of the next.
Warm, rich, and naturally enduring, Western Red Ce Warm, rich, and naturally enduring, Western Red Cedar brings timeless beauty and character to any space.

Known for its exceptional resistance to decay and moisture, this wood is lightweight yet durable, making it ideal for siding, decking, and architectural details. Its straight grain and fine texture allow for smooth finishes, while its natural oils help protect against insects and the elements. Over time, Western Red Cedar develops a silvery patina, offering a low-maintenance, long-lasting material that marries function with elegance.
