Timeless, textured, and naturally resilient, Shou Timeless, textured, and naturally resilient, Shou Sugi Ban transforms wood into a statement of art and durability.

This traditional Japanese technique involves charring the surface of the wood to enhance its natural strength and longevity. The process creates a protective layer that resists moisture, insects, and decay while highlighting the wood’s grain and texture. The result is a sustainable, low-maintenance material that ages beautifully over time, making it ideal for both exterior and interior applications.
Perched against the dramatic backdrop of the Teton Perched against the dramatic backdrop of the Teton mountain range, Fox Creek Quarry exemplifies the harmony of refined design and rugged landscape. Collaborating with Dynia Architects and New West Builders, this modern mountain retreat uses Delta’s prefinished Alaskan Yellow Cedar Vertical Grain cladding to bring warmth and texture to a striking architectural composition. The cedar’s natural character contrasts with black steel and concrete, balancing warmth and strength.
