Instead of resisting the outdoors, Accoya Coastlin Instead of resisting the outdoors, Accoya Coastline works with it. The sacrificial gray finish gradually moves toward its natural end state, settling into a soft, weathered tone that feels closer to the final aged color the wood arrives at over time.

The warm brown interior paneling paired with the dark black wood exterior already carried so much depth before the home was complete. Seeing the raw stages next to the finished result is always a reminder of how much the materials shape the final feeling of a space.⁠

The mill, research spine, and support spaces are connected, so materials and ideas move directly between fabrication and testing. Visitor circulation is lifted above the floor for a clear view into daily operations. All of this is supported by careful site planning and preservation of the existing landscape to reduce environmental impact and celebrate the land we live on.
